POST-GRADUATION WORK PERMIT

Launch Your Career in Canada with a PGWP

Post-Graduation work permit for international student graduates

PGWP stands for Post-Graduation Work Permit, which is a type of work permit that allows international students who have graduated from a participating Canadian post-secondary institution to gain valuable Canadian work experience. The PGWP program enables international students to obtain the necessary work experience to qualify for permanent residence in Canada through various immigration programs such as the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) or the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

The length of your PGWP relies on the duration of your study program. If your program is shorter than eight months, you cannot apply for a PGWP. If your program is between eight months and two years, you might be qualified for a PGWP that is valid for the same length as your study program. If your program is more than two years, you may be eligible for a PGWP that can be valid for up to three years.
