My name is Jao, and just like many Filipinos in my home country, I have a dream of living my best life. I was content back home, but the pandemic changed all of that. I realized how limited my opportunities were, and there simply wasn't room for me to grow in my career.
Coming from a humble beginning, I made the decision to move to Canada and pursue a better life. My visa process was not without challenges. The financial and emotional aspects of it almost made me give up on my dreams. But I understood that if I wanted to become successful, I needed to do everything in my power to make it happen. My journey here in Canada has opened my eyes to the reality of migrating to another country.
